The Best Days of the Summer are Spent at the Des Moines County Fair.
4H and FFA members, along with their families, spend the best days of the summer at the Des Moines County Fair in beautiful Des Moines County, Iowa where fertile farmland borders the Mighty Mississippi River.
The Des Moines County Fair is a 501 3C tax exempt non profit organization.

Fair set Up day, Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Non-livestock judging day, Monday, July 21, 2014.
Tuesday, July 22nd. Animals arrived at the fair. They were weighed and bedded down in their stalls. The Des Moines County Fair Queen Pageant was held. Kaitlynn Hess was crowned Miss Fair Spirit, Michaella Beckman was crowned Fair Princess, and Savannah Keitzer was crowned as the Fair Queen.
Wednesday, July 23, 2014. The Rabbit Show and Poultry Show were held. Clover Kids had their precious projects judged by the Des Moines County Teen Council. Following the Clover Kids were the Working Demonstrations. The day wrapped up with the 4H Horse Show.
Friday, July 25, 2014. Beef Show day at the Des Moines County Fair. Also Educational Presentations, the 4H Dog Show, and Share the Fun competition too.
Saturday, July 26th, 2014. Sheep Show Saturday, bucket bottle calf, goat and lamb show, tractor pull, wing eating contest, Style Show and Fireworks. Oh, and Governor Terry Branstad stopped by for a visit. Everybody loves the fair!
Sunday, July 27th, 2014. Goat Show Sunday, ice cream contest,plowing demonstration, first annual tractor ride, and The Final Drive.
Monday, July 29th, 2014. A day off for the hard working 4Hers and FFA members. Time for some livestock judging and a little volleyball.
